Characteristics of the Germinator Pro

The Germinator Pro is a seed germination system capable of controlling elements such as temperature, humidity, and light. A kit made up of a petri dish with a lid and cotton, a thermostat, and a tube of H2O2. The Germinator Pro has a maximum germination capacity of 100 seeds. However, it is recommended not to introduce more than 30-40 so as not to overload the process.

Why use the Germinator Pro to grow seeds?

The Germinator Pro includes an ultrasensitive contact thermometer to better control the temperature. In addition, it incorporates an H2O2 liquid with a small concentration of hydrogen peroxide to help with the germination task. Hydrogen peroxide accelerates the seed’s metabolism by improving oxygen exchange. In just 24-48 hours, the seeds will already have a small white root emerging, although in some cases the process may take about 2 weeks.

How to use this seed germinator successfully?

You only need to follow a few steps for the seeds to germinate successfully. First, open the lid and add 15 milliliters of water to soak the cotton and place the seeds between them. It must always be bottled mineral water. Tap water is not recommended, as it contains chlorine and lime. That said, before placing the seeds you must squeeze the cotton hard between your hands so that all the water drops fall out. The cotton should only be damp, not waterlogged. Then pour the tube with the H2O2 over the top cotton and close the dish lid. You have to check every 12 hours whether the seeds have already germinated or whether the cotton is drying out. The thermostat included with the Germinator Pro shows the temperature (the most suitable is to set it between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius).
