¿Cómo aumentar la producción de resina en mis plantas? - GROW 1NDUSTRY

How to increase resin production in my plants?

You will discover what factors make a plant produce more or less resin and what you can do throughout its growth and flowering process.

Of course, you should know what resin is if you are going to get into cultivation. But if you don't know and you still want to start, we have a brief summary for you: resin is an accumulation of “hairs” that grow on your plant.

And what are those little hairs? They are small growths or appendages in the form of "hairs" that appear on the plants, in this case, the lucky plants, contain specific organic compounds, which are the cause of the wonderful aroma, flavor and... effects of your clovers.

Let us begin!

Increasing resin production is perhaps the first objective of those like you who are dedicated to cultivation. In fact, for many years now only parent plants with a large amount of these hairs have been requested. In this way, you help your plant already have them, “from birth.”

Because if you are one of those who believe that genetics does not determine anything, you are wrong. If your plant is descended from others with high resin production, rest assured that it will be the same. But you can also lend a hand to genetics and achieve better results.

These are some of the tricks. Take advantage of them!

Illuminate your plants with LEC or LED spotlights

The first thing you should do to increase resin production is to illuminate your plants in the correct way. Years ago, sodium vapor or HPS lamps were used, which for years have enjoyed prestige.

But the CMH/LEC lamps that usually come in kits have a greater spectrum and UV – B rays, which, as you know, are found in sunlight, so it could be said that your plants will receive a perfect imitation of natural light. , which will help them with their growth.

Also, it has been shown that plants grown under LED lights produce a greater number of flowers, and have a higher Δ 9 density . That is, they are richer in terpenes and organic compounds. Just what you were looking for, right? And the difference is not small. Some laboratories state that the increase is up to 30%. A wonder!

Use a flowering stimulator

Flowering is the crowning moment, perhaps the most difficult and most anticipated. It takes a few weeks and when it arrives, few variations can be made. Therefore, it is important that you prepare for the moment of flowering.

Before, you must have stimulators that encourage the creation of flowers in your plants. There are some on the market capable of increasing resin production with its essential organic components, for a very affordable price. You will only have to apply it before the flowering stage and that's it.

Lower degrees and relative humidity the last 2-3 weeks

Along with light, temperature and humidity are other three essential factors for the growth of good clover. Probably if you dedicate yourself to it, you have already managed to create the correct temperature and humidity, but perhaps you still don't know the trick to increasing resin production. It's so easy, it's sure to surprise you.

The temperature during the day should be approximately 25ºC and, of course, there should be very little variation. It is not worth it that in the same day it can go from 22ºC to 27ºC. This way you won't increase the resin. The temperature at night should also be stable, around 18ºC. Finally, you have to know that in the last few days you have to make a change and lower the temperature a couple of degrees.

Regarding humidity, 50% relative humidity is correct during the growing weeks, but when the flowering stage is approaching or even a little later, in the last two weeks, it is advisable to reduce it to 30%. In this way, the terpenes and organic compounds of your plant will increase and, consequently, resin production can increase. Doing it is very simple, a good dehumidifier can help you.

Do not water the last days

This is called creating water stress. Of course, it's not about just stopping watering your plants, poor things. You should reduce the amount of watering at the end, and you should measure it and keep it under control. Otherwise, you could destroy your plants and your enormous effort to make them thrive. So don't get careless.

The reason for doing this is that the flowers of your clover grow in size, weigh more and are more dense. In addition, they increase the levels of the main components of your plants, those responsible for the aroma, flavor and incredible effects of your lucky plants.

The higher the density, the more intense, relaxing or fun the experience you plan will be. However, you should know something: some of its substances simply increase significantly. But not the “hairs” of your plant itself.

Stress the plant with aggressive pruning before final harvest

It may sound a little harsh, but depending on how you prune your plant, you can help increase resin production. This, like other factors you have read before, such as temperature or humidity, should be done in the last few weeks.

Specifically, with your clover you must do the defoliation technique, which consists of removing some of the leaves from your plant. But which ones and how? This is the touch that very few know.

Defoliation is practiced on many plants for different purposes . In ours, the goal is always to increase resin production in some stems. Stay with this because it is important. What we are going to do is select stems. We will prune some and leave others. In this way, the total resin produced by our plant will be concentrated and not spread throughout the different stems, leaves and flowers.
