• What size room is the Cornwall Electronics Gobi 50L suited for?

  It's designed for large rooms, of around 80 to 120 m². It's the logical choice when you're running a large indoor grow and need to remove a lot of water from the air. For tents or small rooms it would be more than you need.

• How much water can it remove per day?

  It processes and removes up to 50 litres of water per day. With that capacity it eliminates excess moisture from large rooms and prevents the humidity build-up that can ruin entire harvests. It's one of the key features for preventing mould in large grows.

• Can it run without me having to empty the tank?

  Yes. Besides the water tank, it can be fitted with a direct drain via piping, so the unit runs uninterrupted. If you prefer to use just the tank, a sensor stops operation when it's full to prevent unwanted spills.

• Is it very noisy, and how much does it consume?

  For an industrial unit it stays fairly contained: just 60 dB. It runs on 220-250 V with a consumption of 710 W and moves an airflow of 448 m³/h. These are reasonable figures for the extraction capacity it offers.

• Is it easy to move around the room?

  It comes equipped with wheels so you can move and position it without hassle, which is welcome given its 39.5 kg weight. This way you can relocate it to whichever area of the room needs it most at any given time.

• What do you recommend adding alongside the dehumidifier?

  A quality thermo-hygrometer. Without measuring, you don't know whether the unit is working too much or too little, and in a large room the differences show up a lot in the harvest. With humidity and temperature under control, you really make the most of the Gobi 50L's capacity.
