Tecoponic manufactures water chillers for the nutrient solution in hydroponic, aeroponic, and aquaponic systems. The HY series covers tanks from 150 to 2000 liters with four models, and the HY500H and TK1000 models include a heat pump, meaning they cool in summer and heat in winter with the same unit.

The typical use is to prevent the tank temperature from rising too high in warm months: above 22-24 °C, the water loses dissolved oxygen and the roots become stressed. The units do not pump the water themselves, so they need a submersible pump with a flow rate within the model's range, and they are placed in a ventilated area, preferably outside the grow cabinet.
