• What is Dutch Formula Grow 1?

  It is the growth component of the mineral base system from Advanced Hydroponics of Holland. It provides vegetative-stage nutrition with directly available minerals. It is always used together with Bloom 2 and Micro 3, the other two parts of the Dutch Formula base.

• Is it an A+B system?

  No: the Dutch Formula range is a three-part base made up of Grow 1, Bloom 2 and Micro 3, which are used together. Each one plays a different role: Grow 1 for growth, Bloom 2 for flowering and Micro 3 for micro-elements. That is why you should not use Grow 1 on its own as if it were a complete fertiliser.

• What dose do I use each week?

  The manufacturer's chart indicates 1 ml per litre in week 1, 2 ml/L in weeks 2 and 3, and 1 ml/L again from week 4 to week 6. From week 7 it is withdrawn. In veg it is used with 18 hours of light and dropped between 21 and 30 days after the switch to flowering (12 h).

• Does it work for soil, coco and hydroponics?

  Yes, Grow 1 is suitable for every type of substrate: soil, coco, hydroponics and rockwool. Bear the manufacturer's notes in mind: the average dose is intended for inert substrates and base water of EC 0.5 mS, and in soil half the dose is recommended. Adjust the pH to 5.8-6.2 after adding the nutrients.

• Which other products from the brand does it combine with?

  The base of the grow is Grow 1 + Bloom 2 + Micro 3, and on top of that you add the organic Natural Power range: Root Stimulator at the start, Enzimas+ throughout the cycle, Excellerator from the beginning of flowering and Final Solution in the last two weeks before harvest. Remember to stir well after adding each component to the tank.

• What sizes is it sold in?
