• When is it worth using a T-connector in the ducts?

  There are two main reasons. The first is to reduce the noise the air makes as it exits when you're working with a powerful extractor fan, because splitting the route lowers the air speed and, with it, the noise. The second is to achieve a more even air distribution in the grow room.

• Does it really help reduce noise?

  Yes, and the reason is simple: by splitting the air between two outlets, that air moves more slowly through each section. Less speed means less noise at the outlet, which is welcome when the extractor fan is powerful.

• How does the T-piece work?

  As its name suggests, it's T-shaped and has three openings. For it to do its job, you need to fit a duct to each one and leave the whole assembly properly fitted together.

• How is it installed in the ventilation system?

  You just need to decide which section of the installation to place it in, then fit it by screwing on the corresponding section. Make sure it's properly assembled, otherwise air can leak out through the joint.

• What port sizes does Blauberg's T-connector come in?

  You can choose between 100, 125, 150, 200, 250 and 315 mm. Since the T-piece connects to other ducts in the ventilation system, what matters is that the size matches your ducting.

• Does it improve air distribution in the grow?

  Yes. By splitting the air flowing through the duct in two, you get a more even distribution than with a single outlet. It's a simple way to spread the air better across the whole room.
