Full description
The Gavita Pro 270e LEP 41.01 is a LEP plasma (Light Emitting Plasma) fixture of 270 W with Luxim technology. The plasma generates a continuous spectrum, very close to sunlight, with abundant radiation in the blue and near UV that neither HPS nor most LEDs reproduce.
⚠️ Important notice: discontinued technology
Gavita has discontinued the LEP plasma range. This means that lamp replacement and long-term technical support are not guaranteed. We publish it because it is still a valid product for specific uses —mother plants, research, spectral supplementation—, but if you are looking for a main grow light, today there are better LED options in efficiency and replacement-part availability. Ask us before deciding.
Recommended use
Because of its full spectrum and moderate power, it works well as a supplementary light alongside HPS or LED, or as a single fixture for mother plants and cuttings, where spectral quality matters more than raw PPF.

It is a 270 W LEP (Light Emitting Plasma) fixture with Luxim technology. Plasma generates a continuous spectrum very close to sunlight, with plenty of radiation in the blue and near-UV range that neither HPS nor most LEDs reproduce.
-
Yes, and we would rather tell you straight: Gavita has discontinued the LEP plasma range, so replacement lamps and long-term technical support are not guaranteed. We keep it because it is still valid for specific uses, but do ask us before you decide.
-
Thanks to its full spectrum and moderate power it works very well as supplementary light alongside HPS or LED, or as the only fixture for mother plants and cuttings. In other words, wherever spectral quality matters more than raw PPF.
-
No. Its ballast is electronic but not dimmable, so it always runs at 270 W. It works at 220-230 V and comes as a bell-shaped hanging fixture.
-
Plantasur does not publish the PPF or the efficacy in micromol per joule for this reference, so we have no official photometric figure and we would rather not make one up. The published weight is also an estimate.
-
To be honest, if you are after a main grow light there are LED options today that are better in terms of efficacy and spare-part availability. This Gavita Pro 270e LEP makes most sense as a spectral supplement, for mother plants or for research.
