• What exactly is the ARC PCO cell?

  It is the active element of an Innovative Solutions purifier: it holds the UV source and the catalyst that generate the oxidants. Without it the unit moves air but does not treat it. It is the part that does all the work.

• Why does it need replacing if the unit is still running?

  As the hours of use build up, UV output drops and the catalytic coating loses activity. The purifier stays switched on, but it stops treating the air as effectively. It is a planned consumable, not a fault.

• Which reference do I need for my unit?

  There are four: the one for the Proguard DXB Mini, the one for the Proguard DXB 100, the one for the 46 m² Defender and the one for the 23 m² Defender Mini. Choose the one that matches the exact model you have installed.

• Can I fit the cell from another model?

  No, the cells are not interchangeable between units. Before ordering, check the exact model of your purifier to make sure you order the right one.

• How can I extend the life of the cell?

  By changing the filter pack regularly. The filter stops dust from settling on the catalyst, which is where the reaction happens. It is the small expense that saves you the big one.

• When will I receive the replacement part?
