• Which light are the Resistance 2 calibrated for?

  This model uses the Perfect Color HPS lens, calibrated specifically for the spectrum of sodium (HPS) and metal halide (MH). Under those lights they do two things at once: they protect your eyes and bring back the real colour of the plants.

• Are they any good under a full-spectrum LED or in sunlight?

  Not as they should: outside the sodium spectrum they do not correct the colour properly. Method Seven makes different lenses for LED, CMH and sun, so if your room is not HPS or MH you are better off with another model from the brand.

• What level of protection do they offer?

  The lens is mineral glass with rare earths and blocks UVA, UVB and UVC. The TR90 frame is wraparound, so it also covers light coming in from the side, and it is ANSI Z87+ certified against impacts.

• Do I really need glasses if I only go in for a short while?

  Working for hours under 600 or 1000 W of sodium without protection causes eye strain and glare. And beyond your eyes, with them on you see the true colour of the leaf, which is what lets you judge the real state of the grow.

• Are they polarised?

  No, these are not. Within the Method Seven range the polarised version is the SUN, meant for a different use than the grow room.

• Can they be ordered with prescription lenses?

  This particular model does not take a prescription. Method Seven does offer an Rx option on other HPS and LED models, but not on the Resistance 2 you see here.
