• What is Mills Cal-Mag and what is it for?

  Mills Cal-Mag is a calcium and magnesium supplement in a 1-litre format. Besides providing these minerals, it raises EC levels in reverse-osmosis water, distilled water, or water with an EC below 0.4. It's ideal for building a mineral base that ensures optimal structural development in your plants.

• Why are calcium and magnesium important?

  A lack of calcium prevents plants from fully developing their roots, causing them to become deformed and take on a yellowish colour. The absence of magnesium keeps them from producing chlorophyll and maintaining their green colour. With this supplement, your plants grow healthy, with strong roots and a deep, vivid green.

• What dose should I apply?

  The recommended dose is 0.5 to 1 ml per litre. If you want to raise the EC, add 0.5 ml and check the levels with a meter until you reach the right value. You can also spray it on plants exposed to lower light intensity at a rate of 0.5 ml per litre.

• What substrates can I use Mills Cal-Mag with?

  You can use it in substrates such as coco, hydroponics and peat mixes. It's especially useful if you water with reverse-osmosis water at 0.0, where calcium and magnesium deficiencies are among the most common. This way you avoid leaving your plants exposed to attacks and episodes of stress.

• What's its composition?

  Mills Cal-Mag is made up of 8.3% nitrogen, 2.5% magnesium and 1.3% calcium. This combination provides the mineral base your plants need from day one. The result is healthy, strong plants with long roots to absorb all nutrients efficiently.
