PH51: Digital Pocket and Waterproof pH Meter
The PH51 model is a portable digital pH meter, designed to offer accurate and reliable measurements in a variety of environments. This device is IP67 waterproof certified, making it ideal for use in demanding terrain conditions. With an extended pH measurement range of 0.0 to 14.0, the PH51 is suitable for applications in agriculture, hydroponics, aquariums, fish farming, swimming pools, water treatment, laboratories and education.
Features of the PH51 pH Meter
- Two Point Manual Calibration: The meter allows for precise two-point calibration using pH 7.01 and pH 4.01 or 10.01 solutions, ensuring accurate measurements throughout its operating range.
- Replaceable pH probe: Equipped with an easily replaceable double junction electrode (reference MA73600), the modular design of the PH51 also makes it easy to change batteries and electrodes, simplifying maintenance and prolonging the life of the device.
Operation of the PH51 pH Meter
To use the PH51:
- Remove the electrode protection.
- Turn on the meter by pressing the ON button.
- Immerse the electrode in the liquid to be measured.
- To turn off the meter, press the OFF button.
PH51 pH Meter Calibration
To calibrate the PH51:
- Unscrew the top cover to access the calibration screws identified as “7” and “4”.
- Place the powered meter in 2 cm of pH 7.01 calibration fluid and adjust screw “7” until the display shows a pH of 7.0.
- For calibration at the second point, repeat the process with the pH 4.01 (or pH 10.01) calibrator liquid, adjusting screw “4” until the display shows a pH of 4.0.
- This two-point calibration, although not mandatory, improves the accuracy of subsequent measurements.
Important Considerations
Never use distilled or deionized water as a storage liquid for the electrode, as this could damage the device.
