• What exactly does Advanced Hydroponics pH Up do?

  It is the brand's alkaline corrector: it raises the pH of the nutrient solution, that is, it reduces its acidity. You use it when the starting water or the already prepared mix falls below the working range. It brings the solution back to the range where the nutrients are available.

• How will I know I need to use it?

  When you measure the already prepared solution and the reading falls below 5.8. The target range is 5.8 to 6.2, so if you have come up short, this is the product you need to bring it back up.

• Does it work in growth as well as flowering?

  Yes, the same product serves both stages of the grow. You do not need one version for growth and another for flowering: the target range of 5.8-6.2 stays the same in both.

• How do I apply it without overshooting?

  Drop by drop, measuring after each addition until you reach 5.8-6.2. Never pour it in all at once: it is a concentrated base and fine adjustment is the only way not to overshoot the target. Stir between additions so the reading is reliable.

• In what order do I add it if I use the Dutch Formula range?

  Fertilisers and additives first, pH last. Both the Dutch Formula Grow 1, Bloom 2 and Micro 3 base and the Root Stimulator, Enzimas+, Excellerator and Final Solution stimulators change the reading, so stir the complete mix and only then measure and correct.

• What precautions does it need and what sizes does it come in?

  It is a concentrated base, so handle it with gloves and safety glasses and store it closed, in its original container and out of the reach of children. You can choose from three sizes: 0.5 L, 1 L and 5 L, depending on the size of your grow.
