Full description

How to use

Frequently asked questions
-
It is a desiccant that absorbs moisture from the air by physical adsorption, with no liquids, no electricity and no smell. It is particularly effective in small, closed spaces, where an electric dehumidifier makes no sense.
-
It is the orange indicator type: while it stays orange it means it is still dry and working, and when it turns green or colourless it tells you it is saturated and time to regenerate it. It also contains no cobalt chloride, unlike traditional blue silica gel.
-
Spread the beads out on a tray and put them in the oven at around 110-120 ºC for 2 or 3 hours, until they turn orange again. Let them cool in a sealed container and they are ready to use again. The cycle can be repeated indefinitely.
-
It is used to stabilise humidity inside jars and containers during curing and storage, and to dry plant material in boxes or small cabinets. It also protects seeds and sensitive material, and helps preserve meters, probes, electronics and tools in storage.
-
It comes in a 1 kg pack, enough to spread across several containers at once. Since it can be regenerated in the oven as many times as you like, it does not get used up: it is a one-off investment for controlling humidity with no plugs and no maintenance.
-
They are fine-grained beads, from 1 to 3 mm. That size offers plenty of contact surface with the air, which means faster moisture absorption.
