• What does this replacement regulator do?

  It is the part that controls the gas output from the generating bottle to the bubble counter. It is the original replacement regulator for the CO2 Gro DIY 12 L CO2 Generation System (ref. 600489). Without it the unit cannot maintain a stable output.

• When does the regulator need replacing?

  You replace it when it stops holding a stable output: irregular bubbling, leaks at the connection or being unable to adjust the flow. Working with chemical charges it is a wear part, so replacing it is normal over time. Changing it in good time saves you losing product.

• Will it work with other CO2 setups?

  It is sold as the original spare part for system 600489 and that is the use we guarantee it for. The manufacturer does not publish working pressures, flow rate or connection thread, and we would rather not estimate them. If you want to integrate it into another setup, ask us before buying.

• What precautions should I take before changing it?

  Before working on the regulator, shut off the supply and depressurise the circuit following the unit's instructions. Remember that an enriched room runs well above ambient air (~420 ppm) and that from around 5,000 ppm there is a real health risk. Never go into a room with dosing active without ventilating first.

• How much does this part actually weigh?

  Some distribution datasheets list it at 4.13 kg, which is impossible for a part measuring around 6 × 12 cm. It is a catalogue error. The weight we apply is an estimated, realistic shipping weight.

• What other spare parts does the system need?

  Besides this regulator there is the refill kit with packs A and B (ref. 901510), which is not included with the system, and the replacement solenoid (ref. 600490). The complete unit is reference 600489. Those parts cover all the maintenance.
