• Which bulb is the Lamarck 600W ballast used with?

  It is intended for use with a 600W HPS bulb. Because it is dimmable, you can also work at lower wattages depending on what the grow calls for at any given time.

• Which wattage settings can I select on the dimmer?

  The included dimmer lets you select 250W, 400W, 600W and 660W. That way you adjust the amount of light your plants receive according to the stage of the cycle, without having to change equipment.

• What is Smart Step technology?

  It is the Lamarck's intelligent start-up system: it mimics sunrise and brings the light up gradually instead of switching on at full power. That progressive start is gentler on the plants and on the unit itself.

• Why is it worth adjusting the power to each stage?

  Because growth and flowering do not need the same light intensity. By lowering the power in the early stages you keep better control of the heat reaching your plants and stop them growing stressed, which translates into a more abundant harvest with better flavour and aroma.

• Is it noisy or flimsy?

  It is built with hard-wearing materials, both in the housing and in the wiring, and it barely makes any noise while running. It is a sturdy unit designed to hold up cycle after cycle.

• What amperage and wattage does it have?

  It works with an amperage of 2.75 and a nominal output of 600W, and can reach an extra 660W. Delivering the power in a controlled way also helps extend the service life of the device itself.
