• Why should I replace the reflector insert on my Gavita?

  The insert is the part that loses performance over time: the aluminium oxidises, gets stained by irrigation splashes and gets scratched when changing lamps. Replacing it restores the reflector's original reflectance without having to replace the whole unit.

• What does the replacement for the HortiStar HR96 include?

  It is the inner insert of the 600 W Single Ended HortiStar HR96 reflector. It is only the reflective insert: it does not include the housing, the lamp holder or the wiring.

• And what about the TripleStar 600 replacement?

  For the TripleStar 600 the replacement is a kit of 3 Miro aluminium inserts. As this reflector spreads the light using three surfaces, the kit replaces all three at once so performance stays even.

• What material are the inserts made of?

  They are made of highly reflective Miro aluminium, the same material these reflectors are originally made from. That is why replacing them brings back the factory optical performance.

• How can I make sure I order the right insert?

  These are spares for older Gavita ranges with very low turnover, so it is worth confirming the exact model of your reflector before ordering. If you are unsure, our customer service is available Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00.

• Is the stated weight exact?

  No, the published weights are estimates and are used for shipping purposes. For any technical figure that is critical to your installation, the reference is still the documentation for your Gavita reflector.
