CD611: Economical and Efficient Milwaukee EC Meter
The Milwaukee CD611 is a low-cost electrical conductivity (EC) meter that offers fast and accurate measurements. This instrument is easy to use and designed to provide a hassle-free experience in a variety of applications, including water treatment, fish farming, aquarium farming, agriculture, hydroponics and home growing.
CD611 Features
The meter features automatic temperature compensation, ensuring accuracy in different environmental conditions. It is supplied with a protective cap, a screwdriver for calibration, batteries and instructions for use in two languages, making it easy to configure and operate from the first use.
CD611 Operation
To use the CD611:
- Remove the black protective cap and activate the meter using the ON/OFF button.
- Submerge it to the indicated limit and wait until the reading on the screen stabilizes.
- Remember that the meter performs automatic temperature compensation.
- After use, clean the electrode with water to maintain its accuracy.
- The value displayed on the screen must be multiplied by 100 to obtain a direct reading in mS/cm.
CD611 Calibration
The CD611 calibration process is straightforward:
- Immerse the meter in EC calibration fluid (M10031) to the marked limit.
- Wait for the reading to stabilize and then adjust the meter to 1.4 with the screwdriver on the screw on the back (corresponding to an EC of 1413 µS/cm once multiplied by 100).
- It is important to always use fresh calibration fluids and not reuse them.
Battery Change
If the meter does not turn on or the screen dims:
- Open the battery compartment and replace the four 1.5V batteries, making sure to respect the correct polarity.
- Only use the batteries specified in the manual to ensure proper operation of the device.
