Terra Aquatica HydroCloner Spinner 72 – 72-Cutting Hydroponic Propagator with Vortex Motor

The HydroCloner Spinner 72 is a hydroponic propagator from Terra Aquatica with a capacity for 72 cuttings. It roots without substrate: the stems are suspended over a 70-liter reservoir and receive solution in constant motion.

The distinctive feature is the Vortex RainForest motor, which generates a whirlpool and sprays the solution over the base of the cuttings in the form of a fine rain. That movement serves two functions: it keeps the cutting always moist and oxygenated, which is the condition for it to root quickly, and it avoids areas of stagnant water where fungi usually appear.

The body is rotomolded with flame-retardant treatment (FR) and the usable surface is about 67 cm. Since no substrate is used, you can see the condition of each root without taking anything apart and select only the cuttings that are doing well before moving them to the final system.

About the capacity

A useful fact if you already work with propagators: 72 cells is an intermediate capacity compared with the more common 40 and 80 formats. If your trays and routines are built around multiples of 40, keep that in mind when planning batches of cuttings so you don’t leave empty spaces or come up short.

1. Limpia y desinfecta el depósito, la tapa y el motor antes de cada lote.
2. Llena con agua a unos 20-22 grados y ajusta el pH entre 5,5 y 6,0 con EC muy baja.
3. Corta los esquejes en bisel y aplica hormona o gel de enraizamiento.
4. Coloca cada esqueje en su collar y comprueba que el corte queda en la zona de lluvia.
5. Arranca el motor y mantén el propagador en marcha de forma continua.
6. Renueva el agua cada 4 o 5 días y pasa los esquejes al sistema definitivo al ver raíz blanca.
