Frequently asked questions
-
It is a rooting gel for propagating new plants from cuttings. Because it is not a liquid, it clings to the cut and seals it, keeping contact with the active ingredients. That prevents air from entering the vascular tissue and reduces the risk of the cutting drying out or becoming contaminated during the first days.
-
Make a bevelled cut with a clean blade, just below a node. Dip 1-2 cm of the end and let the gel form an even coating. Then insert the cutting into the rockwool cube or the jiffy without scraping the gel off.
-
Keep the propagator closed, with high humidity and a temperature of 21-25 degrees. That stable environment is what allows the cutting to hold on without roots during the first days. The gel protects the wound, but the climate inside the propagator does the rest of the work.
-
There are two: the 50 ml jar for home use and the 500 ml one for intensive propagation. The first covers occasional cuttings at home with room to spare, while the large one is meant for anyone cloning in big batches. You can pick the size before adding it to the cart.
-
No. It comes ready to use: there is no diluting or dose measuring, you just dip the end of the cutting before inserting it into the cube. Do pour a small amount into a separate container, though, so you do not contaminate the jar.
-
The Rooting Gel acts at the moment of the cut. From there Rooting Farm takes over in the watering solution during the first weeks, and after that the Grow or Dry Veg A+B base nutrient. It is the logical sequence if you want to cover the whole start of the grow with the same range.
